TOMEI M7963 Turbo Kit for 4G63 has been developed for even more smoothness and powerfulness especially at high RPM range compared to STD.
This bolt-on turbo kit is a perfect choice for bored/stroked 4G63, as well as lightly tuned 4G63 with stock displacement.

  • FLAT PRIMARY EXHAUST PRESSURE
  • The initial spool characteristics is just right, with a seamless linear power curve that matches the engines RPM with the power output. This gives the best drivability results.

  • RESPONCE EQUAL TO STOCK TRIM
  • Generally, a larger turbocharger relative to stock, results in decreased response of the engine. However, we have managed to keep the response equal to that of the stock trim by matching the most ideal turbine and compressor wheel. Countless hours of testing was of course performed to achieve these results.

  • MAINTAINING OUTPUT EVEN AT HIGHER TUNED LEVELS

    Boost setting should only be performed when the gear is in 4th or 5th gear as it could cause unexpected high load and a higher boost than desired in higher gears if the setting is performed in a lower gear.
    ACTUATOR SETTINGS Not Required since a boost controller is to be used.
    The wastegate actuator has been pre-set from factory and no further adjustment is required in most cases.
    It is recommended to use a boost controller along with T440M Turbo which helps to maintain stable boost and allows to adjust overall feeling.
    Adjustment of the wastegate actuator should usually only be performed as a sub-adjustment to help boost controller adjustment.
    TARGET POWER 360~370ps 420~430ps
    In the case of a stock engine, there is a concern about the strength of the connecting rods, so a maximum of 360-370ps is recommended.
    CAMSHAFT Recommended: TOMEI PONCAM TYPE-R
    It helps change the engines aracteristics to help utilize the larger  Turbos potential.

    When boost is increased, the combustion pressure is also raised. The Metal Head Gasket helps strengthen your engine to handle more power with the increase in sealing efficiency.
    You choose the right Gasket thickness to suit your desired compression ratio to suit the boost settings that you’d like to run the engine at.
    INJECTOR SIZE 620cc or more 760cc or more
    Required injector capacity to suit each setup can be calculated as follows.
    Target Power(HP) x 5.9 ÷ No. of Cylinders = injector volume (cc) required per cylinder.10-20% higher volumed injectors than the amount calculated above is recommended to obtain ideal spray on high rpm range.
    FUEL PUMP 165 /h or more (Fuel Pressure 3kg/cm2 )

    Required fuel pump capacity to suit each setup can be calculated as follows.
    Injector volume (cc) x No. of Cylinders x 0.06 = Fuel Pump flow rate (L/h) required for the system.10-20% higher rated fuel pump than the amount calculated above is recommended to stabilize the fuel pressure at all time.
    FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR Adjustable Regulator required. RECOMMENDED :TOMEI type-S
    Adjusting fuel pressure is required when fuel pump is upgraded.The fuel pressure should usually be adjusted to 3kg/cm2 under the atmosphere pressure.
    AIR FILTER HIGHT FLOW TYPE
    Higher flowing, less restrictive air filter is recommended for a better performance.
    EXHAUST MANIFOLDS Recommended: TOMEI EXPREME
    In order to further improve exhaust efficiency and make the best performance of the turbine kit, we recommend to use the TOMEI exhaust manifold.
    OUTLET/ FRONT PIPE Recommended: TOMEI EXPREME
    The standard outlet pipe is not suitable for exhaust flow.
    The exhaust will clog the exhaust gases with high speed, high boost due to the narrow pipe diameter which causes a bottleneck effect.
    This will drop the turbines efficiency due to the restrictions on the exhaust flow hindering boost capabilities.
    So with the larger diameter pipe, the exhaust flow will be optimized which will maximize the Turbo’s and engines performance with a good stable boost control.
    METAL CAT High Flow Type is Required
    With the use of a high flow performance Metal Catalytic Converter you can increase the performance with increasing the exhaust flow.
    EXHAUST Recommended: Main Pipe φ80(TOMEI EXPREME Ti)
    A muffler with small exhaust efficiency will not be able to achieve the full performance of the turbine.
    We recommend to use TOMEI titanium muffler series according to vehicle specifications.

    When high boost is applied, deformation may occur with the genuine suction pipe.By replacing high flow type, you can improve the inhalation efficiency.
    INTERCOOLER Standard Position ~ Bolt On Upgrade
    Compressed air from the Turbo goes into the engine.
    This process increases the air temperature and lowers density of oxygen in the same volume of air that also lowers the combustion efficiency.
    Supplying the compressed and well cooled air by a better radiating intercooler increases the combustion efficiency that results a better performance and more power.
    BLOW OFF VALVE Upgraded Type Required
    Recommended: TOMEI
    The stock blow off valve is not strong enough to cope with the pressure on higher boosted applications so the TOMEI blow off valve will retain the recycling type feature and will adequately control the pressure on high power setups.
    The stock blow off valve will at times not function effectively when needed depending on the boost settings so stabilizing the boost settings is not possible.
    But without the blow off valve the turbo will fail.
    To protect the turbo the blow off valve becomes an important component on your investment and the TOMEI strengthened blow off valve is suitable to meet everyone’s budgets and to meet your needs.
    This is an essential component for those who will upgrade their turbo and run higher boost.
    ENGINE MANAGEMENT Optimize the Engines Setup
    ECU tuning to suit each setup is required to optimize the performance and fuel efficiency as well as to protect the engine.
    PLUG UPGRADE REQUIRED Recommended: 8~9 Heat Range
    The stock spark plugs are too low on their heat value for the increased combustion temperature that may cause preignition and cause the spark plug electrodes to melt down and pistons to seize / erode.Recommended plug heat value is usually 8-9, however, the best setup varies engine to engine depending on usage,condition etc.
